In my junior year of college I took a Design Solutions class where we were assigned multiple clients at a time and the clients would ask us to do specific work for their company/organizaiton/department. In this portion of the class two other classmates and I were asked to work with the Digital Communications department at Johnson & Wales University and design things such as social images, social media headers, and snapchat filters. I decided to design a snapchat filter for the local greenspace at JWU called ‘Gaebe Commons’. I decided to illustrate a realistic flat designed version of the gates in the front of the commons. I wanted to represent the university well and create something that would be recognizable throughout the students and staff of the campus. This filter is currently live and can be accessed on snapchat while standing in Gaebe Commons.
